New Increased Weekend Option Differential:
$8.6 D is an intermediate PCU otherwise called a Progressive Care Unit. The unit includes a 16 bed fully monitored unit. We provide high acuity care to critically ill post-operative traumas, stroke patients, and medical overflow. Common therapies seen on 6D are lumbar drain management, external ventricular drain management, antidysrhythmic/calcium channel blocking drips, low dose vasopressors, Bipap and high flow oxygen systems, insulin drips, and precedex . 6D works closely with Cardiovascular PCU and there are opportunities to cross train between departments. We are part of the Critical Care Cluster, which includes all ICUs and PCUs.
