Essential Job Functions
The Mary S. Shook Student Health Service exists to provide for the health care needs of the students of Appalachian State University.
Duties will be assigned based on the type of staff hired.
The pharmacist is responsible for compounding and dispensing medications to patients, providing information on drugs; reviewing medication interaction, safety and efficacy; and clinical services.
The Pharmacy Technician under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, help the pharmacists provide medication and other health care products to patients and consumers.
The Pharmacy Clerk collects the payments, accepts prescriptions from customers, hands completed orders to customers.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Graduate with certification or license for the position in which you are applying (if required).
Work Schedule/Hours
Hours and times may vary depending on the position. May include some nights and weekends
Number of Hours Per Week 20 or less Number of Months Per Year 11 Mandatory Staff No Physical Demands of Position
Walking, Lifting, Visual activity for long periods of computer work, and/or Standing for long periods of time.
