- Conduct Full and Individual Evaluations for referred students including psychological and psychoeducation portions.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions and psychological services to students.
- Score and interpret test data based on district's current guidelines.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and facilitate drafting and implementing behavior intervention plans.
- Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee to assist with appropriate placement and development of Individual Education Plans (IEP).
- Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
- Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
- Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
- Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
- Display proficient levels of technology applications.

Qualifications
Education/Certification
Master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
Special Knowledge/Skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of procedures for assessing academic achievement, cognitive abilities, and emotional and behavioral functioning for educational purposes
Knowledge of academic and behavior prevention and intervention strategies
Knowledge of psycho-social development and learning theory
Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students
Knowledge of counseling theory and techniques
Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience providing diagnostic or counseling services in an educational setting
