THE OPPORTUNITY


YES Prep needs a dynamic (title of role) with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality.

To put it simply, you will provide psychological services to elementary students as a member of our growing special education evaluation team.


THE ROLE

  • When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work will include:
  • Administering, scoring and interpreting formal and informal assessment tools to determine initial and continued eligibility for special education services;
  • Producing high quality evaluations for students that reflect thoughtful analysis of the student's strengths and weaknesses, and can be meaningfully explained to both families and other professionals;
  • Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and assisting with the development of Behavior Intervention Plans and Crisis Plans for special education students with significant behavioral or emotional needs;
  • Collaborating in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to review special education referrals;
  • Providing direct support and consultation for campusbased personnel and parents regarding critical cases involving students with significant emotional and behavioral needs;
  • Assisting in the development of preventative behavioral programming and continuum of behavioral services provided to students with emotional and behavioral needs
  • Additional duties as assigned.

THE MUST HAVES

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited fouryear educational institution
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in student evaluation, psychology or in another related field
  • Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) licensure in the state of Texas (TSBEP)

Compensation - **This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
