    Job Description

    Title: Building Engineer

    Reports to: Associate Director, Office Services

    Overview

    The Building Engineer is responsible for managing the corporate office Facility. This includes the oversight of maintenance procedures, vendor management, all building systems including HVAC, elevator and fire safety. This role will also be hands on with repair and maintenance and should have a background in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain vendor and contractor relationships, including participation in contract negotiations
    • General Skills in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, drywall and painting
    • Ensure processing of all payments made to vendors (i.e. facility maintenance, and miscellaneous purchases pertaining to office services)
    • Schedules and executes all maintenance at the corporate office
    • Assemble and install furniture/systems
    • Repairing and replacing locks/hardware
    • Act as a link between internal customers and maintenance team to ensure prompt, professional and customer service delivery for all issues that arise
    • Performed basic janitorial tasks as necessary
    • Available to work nights and weekends as necessary
    • Support the Facilities team with furniture moves, rearrangement, and setup
    • Support Office Services with tasks as needed
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5-7+ years of experience managing fast-paced office building.
    • High School Diploma, some college preferred
    • Experience working with construction including: Electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry.
    • Ability to make quick decisions and improvise when required
    • Ability to deliver high quality, consistent service every day to demanding internal clientele
    • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Standard office equipment.
    • Work Experience: Experience managing facilities in an office environment including purchasing responsibilities.
    Location

    Onsite- New York City

    Estimate Salary Range: $90,000-100,000

    Base pay is one component of David Yurman's total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
