    Position Summary:
    BETA is seeking an experienced Lead Traffic Engineer to lead the traffic engineering team in our Manchester, NH office.

    This position will play a key role in performing and overseeing technical designs, development of projects from conceptual to final design, oversee the preparation of contract plans and documents, mentor staff, manage traffic projects and perform business development, project pursuits, and client management.


    Responsibilities:
    Perform, manage, and oversee design on traffic and transportation projectsPerform detailed traffic analysis, traffic signal design, traffic modeling and simulation, intersection geometrics, complete streets, and temporary traffic controlsManage traffic related projectsTechnical design lead on concurrent projectsReview and prepare traffic related contract documentsProvide responsive client service through strong and expeditious communicationMentor junior staff to enhance their knowledge and advance their career developmentAttend and present at client and public meetingsPerform business development and manage project pursuitsCollaborate across internal disciplines and office locations Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineeringProfessional Engineer license requiredProfessional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) preferred12 to 18 years of related engineering experience in traffic Demonstrated strong background in traffic and transportation engineeringProficiency in Synchro, SimTraffic, and Vissim, preferredProficient with AutoCAD Civil3D and Microstation ConnectExperience with MUTCD and AASHTOExperience with NHDOT, MaineDOT and VTrans design policy guidelines and requirements desiredGrowth Opportunities:
