    Description

    Full Stack .NET Software Engineer

    Our client, based in Boston, is looking to fill a Software Engineer role on a contract basis with the potential for permanent hire. This is a hybrid role and requires 2 days onsite per week. The ideal candidate is flexible, with the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task between projects and prioritize work based on urgency, criticality, and business needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade existing systems, and address data issues by writing SQL queries
    • Execute full software development life cycle
    • Collaborate closely with customers and other members of the IT team
    • Development, on-going maintenance, and technical support of web-based systems and applications built primarily using .NET and SQL
    • Create technical specification documents based business requirements
    • Research technical solutions and make recommendations based on industry best-practices
    • Provide production support as needed, including release implementations and be available as an on-call support engineer
    • Perform work with a moderate amount of supervision

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or a related field
    • 4+ years of demonstrable experience engineering high-quality web applications using: C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, ADO.NET, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and SQL
    • Hands-on experience working with REST APIs and other web-based APIs and deployments
    • Front end engineering experience in Angular/JS, React, Vue or a similar SPA framework
    • Strong knowledge of SQL, database architecture, and stored procedure development
    • Experience with unit testing and frameworks such as MSTest, xUnit andtest-driven development
