Description
Responsibilities
HRI Hospital is looking for a Director of Staff Development who will be responsible for promoting, planning, designing, coordinating and evaluating hospital-wide training and educational activities.
Essential Functions:
Develops implements and evaluates programs based on results of annual survey of educational needs and to meet the needs of orientation, skills training, leadership and management training and continuing education.
Knowledgeable about patient care at all levels by making rounds attending staff meetings, and serving on appropriate committees; resource for psychiatric/medical care issues.
Provides coverage on unit based on hospital needs and other related duties as required, including Nursing supervisor coverage.Effectively coordinates on-going staff education by floating to all units and providing real time education throughout the day.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in
Nursing Education:
Masters Preferred
Registered Nurse licensure
Current CPR, CEU's to maintain License, Handle with Care certified preferred
Minimum 2 years Inpatient Psychiatric Experience Preffered
