    Job Description

    Summary:

    The CNC Machinists play a crucial role in using various mills and lathes to craft diverse parts/tools to meet production schedule requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Utilize industry-standard measuring equipment like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges for work completion.
    • Set up and operate various machine tools, conduct machining operations with close tolerances, and adjust machine feeds and speeds as necessary.
    • Ensure product quality adhering to customer specifications.
    • Collaborate with CNC Programmers to set up CNC tooling and validate CNC programs for 3 and/or 5 axis CNC machines.
    • Prepare required tooling, accurate drawings, and special instructions.
    • Understand and set up CNC programs and operate CNC mills.
    • Identify and report any machine malfunctions, faulty materials, drawing discrepancies, or unusual conditions to the CNC Machinist Leader.
    • Perform assigned duties.

    Education and Work Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Three to five years of relevant experience and/or training.

    Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:

    • Possibility of needing a government security clearance, must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and measuring devices.
    • Adherence to processes and standard procedures.
    • Hands-on and proactive attitude towards tasks.
    • Utilization of hand and power tools.
    • High level of responsibility, motivation, and thoroughness in task completion.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of computers for basic functions like file management and internet navigation.
    • Understanding of machines, tools, repairs, and maintenance.
    • Ability to multitask, handle interruptions, and independently solve problems.
    • Efficient collaboration with various levels of management, team members, and clients.

    Work Conditions:

    Work Hours:

    • Standard work hours with potential overtime for meeting deadlines.

    • No travel involved in this position.

    Physical Demands:

    • Engage in tasks involving climbing, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, moving about, operating machinery, and performing repetitive actions.
