    Job Description

    CNC Machinist

    As a CNC Machinist, your main responsibility is to produce high-quality parts using CNC machines. This includes programming and operating the machines, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and keeping accurate records. Take a look at the essential job functions:

    • Plans Machining: Study work orders, blueprints, and specifications to plan the machining process.
    • Programs Mills and Lathes: Enter instructions and set parameters to program mills and lathes.
    • Sets-Up Machines: Install tools, adjust chucks, and tramming heads for machine set-up.
    • Verifies Settings: Measure positions and verify settings to ensure accuracy.
    • Maintains Equipment: Complete preventive maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions of equipment.
    • Ensures Safety: Adhere to safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on technical knowledge and industry advancements.
    • Skills and Qualifications:
      • CNC Certification
      • CNC Programming a Plus
      • Strong Manufacturing Background
      • Attention to Detail, Judgment, and Strong Communication Skills
      • Tooling and Instrumentation Knowledge

      • Working Conditions:

      • Work in a typical manufacturing facility, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
      • Be prepared to stand on concrete floors and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
      • Use provided safety gear like glasses and steel-toed shoes for protection.
      • Expect a sometimes noisy environment, but ear protection is provided.

      Other:

      • Must have basic tools and safety gear for the job.
      • Wear appropriate clothing for safety reasons.
