    Job Title: Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting (SEC Focus)

    Company: [Confidential]

    Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid) - 2 days a week in-office, 3 days from home

    Salary: Up to $120,000 per annum

    About Us: Our client is a leading publicly traded financial services company based in Baltimore, MD. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in SEC reporting to join their dynamic team.

    Position Overview: They are looking for a Senior Accountant with a background in Big4 public accounting, who is ready to transition into a challenging and rewarding role within their organization. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your experience in SEC reporting to contribute to their success and growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial information for reporting purposes.
    • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and ensure timely implementation.
    • Support external audit and review engagements.
    • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA certification required
    • 3+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on SEC reporting.
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
    • Experience with XBRL tagging and filing preferred.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
