Field Service Technician

NY Scale and Equipment

Buffalo, NY

$22 to $26 Hourly
Medical , Retirement
Full-Time

NY Scale and Equipment focuses on repairing mechanical and electronic equipment in supermarket and food processing centers in Central and Western NY. They specialize in installing and fixing meat processing equipment, electronic scales, labelers, package wrapping equipment, and coffee machines.

You will be tasked with assisting customers by providing product and service details and addressing technical issues both over the phone and in person.

Responsibilities:

Repair equipment at the office or customer site, using installation manuals and assembling/disassembling machine components.
Install and provide training on new equipment
Adhere to scheduled preventative maintenance plans
Follow up with customers and suppliers on pending parts or service orders.
Create and obtain approval on repair estimates.
Maintain truck parts inventory.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in field service of mechanical and electronic equipment is preferred
Build strong relationships with clients
Ability to manage priorities and multitask effectively
Display a positive and professional attitude
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of related electrical/mechanical experience
Valid Driver's License and ability to drive for extended hours daily
Available for Overtime and On-Call duties as needed
