    Job Description

    As the Accounts Payable Lead you will provide direction and help support and establish best practices through the guidance of the Director of Finance.


    Responsibilities:
    Prioritizing invoices according to payment terms and policies.
    Preparing and processing checks, wire transfers and electronic fund transfers on a weekly basis.
    Review AP subledger regularly for aged and unusual items.
    Responding to vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
    Providing guidance and leadership to the team and help to establish best practices within the department.
    Guiding and mentoring team members; actively participate in their development.
    Monitoring employee performance in order to provide appropriate feedback to team members, and metrics to management.
    Organizingand delegatingworkload.
    Providingsupporting documentation for audits.
    Qualifications

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role of which include 1-2 years of leadership experience.
    Problem Solving ability to systematically find and correct issues to the vendor payments.
    Comfort with fast-paced environments
    Strong Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, specifically excel.
    Knowledge of Maximo or D356 would be considered an asset.
    Capable of managing multiple tasks at once and prioritizing work.
    Ability to lead team and delegate tasks to improve efficiency.
    Good written and verbal communication skills.
    A Customer-Centric attitude.
    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Ability to work both independently and in a team.
