    Description

    Baskervill is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design firm with offices throughout the country and in Gdansk, Poland. We are searching for an experienced Technical Director to join our Workplace, Multifamily and Mixed-Use Studios. We are passionate about teaching and mentoring the development of well-rounded architectural and interior design staff, and are looking for an energetic, team-oriented individual to elevate our technical design processes.     What you'll be doing:

    • Mentoring and teaching staff technical project skills, detailing and research to ensure effective execution,
    • Oversee staff in their projects and documentation development,
    • Quality Control reviews of drawings and constructability review, acoustics knowledge a plus,
    • Coordination with Specifications Department, providing guidance to the project teams,
    • Oversee all phases of the project documentation and development to include:
    • Compliance with Baskervill standards for BIM management,
    • Compliance with project code requirements,
    • Assist project teams with bidding, permitting and construction administration.
    • Responsible for advancing the overall technical quality of project documentation and other project related documents,
    • Handle a variety of project sizes and types, from complex projects of large magnitude to small boutique renovations.

    Who you'll be working with:

    • Studio Principals and Directors – Workplace, Multifamily and Mixed-Use,
    • Studio Project Managers and Project Leads,
    • Architects, Interior Designers, MEP (both in-house and consultants), and various other consultants.

    Here's what you'll need:

    • Bachelor's or master's degree from an NAAB accredited institution,
    • 10+ years of professional architecture experience,
    • Professional architecture licensure,
    • Knowledge/proficiency of Revit Bluebeam and UpCodes,
    • Knowledge of other design software such as SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Miro,
    • Working experience with Microsoft 365,
    • Substantial experience managing projects, mentoring and supervising personnel, and team building.
