The Problems You'll Solve
The National Service Partnerships Coordinator will support NYC Service's national service (AmeriCorps)

programs, reporting to the National Service Operations Director, with several project elements

reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Service Officer, National Service & Fiscal Operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

_Host Site Partner Outreach & Recruitment _

  • Develop outreach strategy and plan to engage potential city agencies and communitybased
organizations (CBOs) as AmeriCorps host sites.

  • Develop target list of potential host sites for the FY25 program year by leading a needs
assessment and SWOT analysis with internal stakeholders.

  • Meet with potential host sites and guide through them through guidelines, benefits, and
process to becoming a host site, and work with the team on City agency presentations and

materials.

  • Manage communication with all host site applicants, answering questions and communicating
next steps.

  • Lead supervisor interview training sessions for National Service staff and provide internal
support during the review process.


_Host Site Partner Onboarding _

  • Create, edit, and launch host site partnership agreements and additional partner onboarding
documentation.

  • Implement process to collect and track requisite host site fees, ensuring timely payments and
accurate records.


_Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy _

  • Coordinate and support aspects of the National Service Leadership Council, an inter
- organization council of 30+ national service organizations in NYC, including: organizing and

leading quarterly NSLC meetings, co-chairing council meetings, and creating resource support

documents.

  • Support in the development and execution of intergovernmental policy and relationship
- building to advance national service and volunteerism at local, state, and federal levels.

  • Participate in scheduled meetings with key intergovernmental stakeholders and prepare
documentation to be presented on policy.

  • Monitor relevant policy developments, legislation, and funding opportunities that impact
national service programs.

  • Collaborate with partners to plan and execute public awareness initiatives around national and
international days/months of service.


_Advance NYC Service Mission, Values, and Goals _

  • Represent NYC Service at select events.
  • Be available on select weekends and on select evenings for projects.
  • Provide project support with other service activities and programs, as needed, including
emergency volunteer response.

  • Support City initiatives as needed, including but not limited to possible emergency response
and recovery.


About You

  • Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma + 3 years relevant experience (Minimum)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Commitment to service year programs and volunteerism (AmeriCorps alumni a plus)
  • Stakeholder management, partnership development, and/or advocacy experience
  • Capable of managing against goals and working under tight deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communicator
  • Relationship management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Data Analysis and visualization skills
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as an influential team member
  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work beyond traditional working hours and schedules
  • Ability to think creatively
