The Problems You'll Solve
The National Service Recruitment Coordinator will support NYC Service's national service (AmeriCorps)

programs, reporting to the National Service Operations Director. Responsibilities include but are not


limited to the following:

_AmeriCorps Member Outreach & Recruitment _

  • With the National Service Operations Director, develop outreach strategy and plan to recruit
and engage a cohort of 150+ AmeriCorps members at chosen host sites.

Service Program team.

  • Attend 10+ career fairs and community engagement events annually, specifically aimed at
recruiting AmeriCorps members from throughout NYC.

  • Plan and facilitate virtual and inperson information sessions for prospective members.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prospective members, answering inquiries and guiding
  • Manage Salesforcebased recruitment software, including liaising with developer, updating as
needed, and developing and leading trainings for national service staff on usage and best

practices.

  • Track and report on key member recruitment metrics, analyzing data to inform and improve
strategies.

  • Support Operations team during transition from member acceptance to onboarding.

_Marketing & Communications _

  • Liaise with Communications team to create compelling (print and digital) marketing materials,
social media content, and advertising campaigns to promote AmeriCorps service opportunities.


_Partnership Development _

  • Cultivate and manage partnerships with high schools, colleges, universities, community
organizations, and other stakeholders to identify and recruit qualified applicants.

  • Develop and manage yearlong engagement plan with key institutional partners, including
CUNY and New York City Public Schools.


_Advance NYC Service Mission, Values, and Goals _

  • Represent NYC Service at select events.
  • Be available on select weekends and on select evenings for projects.
  • Provide project support with other service activities and programs, as needed, including
emergency volunteer response.

  • Support City initiatives as needed, including but not limited to possible emergency response
and recovery.


About You

  • Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma + 3 years relevant experience (Minimum)
  • Background in training, curriculum development or event management a STRONG plus
  • Commitment to service year programs and volunteerism (AmeriCorps alumni a plus)
  • Experience or comfort in individual counseling, problem solving, and guiding others through

- complex circumstances.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Capable of managing against goals and working under tight deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communicator
  • Experience in relationship management.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
  • Ability to work beyond traditional working hours and schedules.
  • Bilingual abilities a plus

Salary
The City of New York Office of the Mayor's compensation package includes a market competitive

salary, equity for all full-time roles and exceptional benefits. Our cash compensation range for this role

is
$64,000.
