- Utilizing authority to underwrite, price, and service larger middle market Workers' Compensation accounts while adhering to underwriting guidelines.
- Establishing and maintaining broker relationships in the Midwest and beyond to produce opportunities to successfully quote and bind business.
- We combine individual account underwriting skills with a highly automated backroom to provide a unique value proposition for higher-severity insureds.
- Assisting in the development and execution of business strategy necessary to drive submission flow and binding of profitable business.
- Working collaboratively with the home office, marketing and distribution, claims, loss control, premium audit, and legal to develop and maintain a profitable portfolio of unique insurance placements.
- 5+ years of experience underwriting Casualty insurance
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Significant experience and expertise working with a broad array of program structures and pricing models
- Strong understanding of alternative program structures and techniques to sell all styles of programs
- Existing relationships with Midwest brokers handling construction, transportation, or other high-severity classes
- Possess strong presentation, communication, and business development skills
- Motivated to successfully operate in a remote work culture
- Driven, highly motivated, self-starter
- Excellent marketing and sales skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
