- Ensure continuity of supply, effective competition, quality, and timely delivery of products from both internal and external suppliers.
- Utilize metrics and problem-solving techniques to address root causes related to delivery, lead-time, cost, and other critical performance metrics.
- Utilize ERP to analyze supply and demand for components and sub-assemblies, considering factors such as availability, lot size, lead-time, and cost.
- Be prepared to serve as a backup Master Production Scheduler.
- Leverage project management skills to smoothly integrate material changes into the manufacturing environment.
- Release manufacturing work orders and purchase orders, and generate necessary support documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to identify potential material shortages and expedite as needed.
- Utilize various software tools to produce and enhance reports.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance inventory control systems and activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on new product introductions and design changes.
- Evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery considerations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant materials experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in ERP systems.
- Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in financial modeling using Excel.

Working under minimal supervision, as a Buyer-Planner III you will be responsible for procuring and managing material requirements for production items following the MRP plan. Your role will involve analyzing system-planned information to ensure accuracy, releasing purchase orders to suppliers and manufacturing orders to production, and maintaining valid schedules and material control practices.
