    Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Consultant
    Description

    Job Description:
    This role is to provide IV& V services for the technical and managerial aspects of the
    client's project utilizing IEEE standard 1012.
    Qualifications
    Requirements

    • Five (5) years of experience providing IV& V services to California State entities

    performing the following tasks:
    o Performing evaluation of software development procedures and guidelines in
    developing IV& V monthly activity and status reports;
    o Conducting risk and issue list reviews and providing risk mitigation strategies;
    o Performing deliverables traceability matrix analysis;
    o Performing system requirements evaluation for specificity, measurable,
    actionable, realistic, traceable, and testable;
    o Conducting system test assessment and verification; and
    o Developing IV& V task reports.

    • Two (2) years of experience working in a technical capacity on IT enterprise projects
    with a minimum of $5 million in implementation costs.

    • Five (5) years of experience utilizing the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers
    (IEEE) Standard 1012 (System and Software Verification and Validation).

    • Possession of a bachelor's degree or equivalent university degree, or a minimum
    nine (9) years of general IT experience may be used to satisfy this requirement.

    • Two (2) years of experience working in an IV& V capacity on IT enterprise projects with
    regard to the California Department of Technology Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL)
    process.

    • Three (3) years of Experience performing IV& V services for a commercial off the shelf
    (COTS), modifiable off-the-shelf (MOTS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and cloud
    technology product and a system integration project for a governmental agency
    including validating requirements, interfaces, traceability, and testing.

    • Three (3) years of experience performing IV& V services during the design,
    development and implementation phases for a governmental agency project which
    utilized an iterative development process, DevOps Processes, and tools.
