    Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Lab Tech/Assistant I,

    Position type: Full time Contract
    Duration: 11+ months
    Location: Tucson, AZ

    As an Lab Tech/Assistant I, you will:

    Summary:

    • Maintains laboratory instruments and equipment on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
    • Prepares reagents and monitors instruments for bulk reagent levels.
    • Orders and stocks office and laboratory supplies and equipment.
    • Performs onsite servicing and technical support of various lab equipment including Benchmark auto stainers.
    • Manages incoming/outgoing stained slide and/or reagent shipments.
    • May support several different functional lab spaces and groups.
    Responsibilities
    • Performs daily, monthly and quarterly instrument and equipment maintenance and cleaning tasks.
    • Monitors and prepares bulk reagents daily.
    • Troubleshoots minor equipment malfunctions by performing operational tests.
    • Monitors and maintains usage logs for all equipment and instruments.
    • Monitors, schedules and delivers portable instruments for calibration and maintains necessary documentation.

    •Monitors and completes routine maintenance on Thermal equipment (refrigerators, freezers, incubators, etc.).

    •Coordinates equipment preventative maintenance, repairs and validations with third party vendors.

    •Prepares and schedules incoming and outgoing stained slide and/or reagent shipments.

    •Maintains stock room and monitor lab supply inventory.

    •May perform staining runs for new BenchMark instrument installations.

    •Other duties as assigned by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Formal Training/Education:
    • H.S. Diploma or GED - REQUIRED
    • Some college experience - Pref
    Experience:
    • Years of Experience - 2
    • Relevant lab experience - required
    • Experience operating instruments. - required
    • Expertise with instruments in terms of monthly and quarterly maintenance. - required
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • This position requires a high degree of organizational and communication skills, self-motivated. -REQUIRED
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -REQUIRED
    • Attention to detail in written instructions and documentation. -REQUIRED
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize work. -REQUIRED
    • Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, nut-drivers and various other hand tools.-REQUIRED
    • Ability to use test equipment such as flow meters, pH meters, precision weight scales, and pressure meters.-REQUIRED
    • Knowledge of and skill in inventory management. -REQUIRED
    • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds. -REQUIRED
    • Some laboratory and knowledge of general laboratory practices. - Preferred

    PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
    Pay Range*: $20 - $22 per hour
    *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
