    Description

    The FX Finance Lead is a senior management level position responsible for providing management with analysis and insight of financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team.

    The role requires a strong analytical approach to client, product and financial strategy together with leadership skills that significantly rely on influence and building strong partnerships to execute business and financial plans in a systematic, measurable, and effective way. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment without close supervision and with colleagues who may not be in the same geographic location.

    This role reports into the Rates & Currencies Lead Finance Officer.

    Responsibilities:

    + Manage all financial aspects across the FX business within Global Markets. Define financial objectives anchored on sound financial criteria, drive strategy and execution in close partnership with the business and functional areas globally.

    + Support the Rates & Currencies LFO, Markets CFO, business head(s) and other senior management with commercial insight and analyses regarding financial results, projections and strategy

    + Facilitate decision making to drive performance and strategy of the FX business

    + Drive analysis for use with Citi senior management as well as external analysts, regulators and investors. Deliverables include, but are not limited to, performance analyses, target setting and forward-looking analytics for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

    + Assist in setting and managing balance sheet and capital consumption targets, annual budget, quarterly outlooks and forecasts, industry trends, and the CCAR process to drive the long term performance of the franchise.

    + Lead the financial analysis for all actuals and planning dimensions such as: Earnings, Outlooks, Forecasts, Annual Plan

    + Develop relevant, key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and performance of the business and client strategy

    + Understand and proactively mitigate impact of new regulations or accounting requirements on profitability and business strategy

    + Lead ad-hoc analytics on themes that arise at senior managements request and/or through proactive research of potential issues across the entire spectrum of business strategy and performance

    + Partner with various global functional (i.e. Product Control, FP&A, Treasury, Tax etc.) and business stakeholders to deepen LFOs analysis and manage various processes around actuals and forward-looking financials

    + In partnership with the FP&A and the wider Finance teams, lead various projects to enhance efficiency of Citis financial processes and increase the informative value of the content provided to senior management

    + Responsible for developing senior level talent to advance pipeline of Finance leaders across the Citi franchise

    Qualifications:

    + 15+ years of relevant experience

    years of managerial experience, and experience in financial services

    + Demonstrated financial modeling skills with the ability to drive top down strategic and operational plan

    + Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

    + Ability to build and maintain relationships and interact at all levels of an organization

    + Demonstrated leadership, decision-making and problem solving skills

    Education:

    + Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience

    + Masters degree preferred
