Description

JOB DUTIES:
Monitor and inspect construction site activities. Ensure that construction progresses as scheduled and under contract specifications. Purchase, expedite and receive permanent material to ensure proper quantity and quality are received.

Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes, such as planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.

Read and interpret blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, shop drawings, procedure manuals and safety rules. Work to ensure all state, federal and industry codes and specifications are met. This position requires 25% domestic travel.

HOURS:
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

REQUIREMENTS

Main Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction and Facilities Management or closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Construction Engineer or closely related occupation.

Alternate Experience
:

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree in stated fields and five (5) years of stated experience, employer will accept a Master's degree in stated fields and two (2) years of stated experience.

Special Skills:
Also requires at least two (2) years of experience in the following:

Ability to effectively implement project delivery best practice including risk and change management, project set-up and planning;
Prepare and analyze overall project resource, project level schedule and cost allocations;
Develop and maintain project schedule, review critical path, cost loading, resource loading of man-hours, schedule impacts, prepare recovery schedule, and monitor sub-contractor schedules;
Managing the procurements, deployment and optimization of resources for the project;
Managing and reviewing the project files, project reports, specific work plans, field activities, and client turnover documents; and
Proficient in Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Naviswork 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
