- BS or MS in civil or environmental engineering, or geology
- Experience managing personnel in a consulting firm
- 8+ years experience in the environmental industry
- Experience in soil and groundwater remediation, UST, Phase I ESAs, brownfields, hazardous waste, and industrial air, water, and waste permitting/compliance a plus
- Client development and marketing experience
- Florida P.E. or P.G., or reciprocity
- Ability to effectively communicate directly with clients and regulatory agencies
- Ability to suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
- Honesty and integrity in all business areas

Position Description The District Manager position at PPM provides existing or emerging leaders an incredible opportunity for long-term career success and advancement.
All of the current principals at our firm started in this position, and were able to leverage their office management success down the path to ownership.
The position will require full office profit and loss responsibility, and ability to oversee and grow our current staff of environmental professionals and support personnel serving our Florida and corporate client base.
The successful candidate should have technical expertise in soil and groundwater assessment and remediation and experience in managing an environmental consulting office or division of an office.
Responsibilities include office and personnel management, budgeting/forecasting, project management, recruiting, training, and business development.The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, geology, or science-related field, and a record of increasing responsibility with consulting engineering or environmental firms including project, client and personnel management with emphasis on business and client development.
Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills are required.Experience with assessment and cleanup at underground storage tank sites in Florida, including experience with FDEP regulations and programs is preferred.
