The apprenticeship as an electronics technician in the field of industrial engineering at GMVA lasts a total of three and a half years.

In addition to on-the-job training, apprentices must also attend classes at a vocational school and participate in inter-company training.

The following tasks will be taught to the apprentices:


  • Designing changes and expansions to electrical systems
  • Installing and commissioning systems and components
  • Setting up and clearing workstations
  • Ensuring the availability of systems for energy supply, communication, and lighting technology
  • Installing cable management systems, information and energy lines
  • Installing and setting up machines, drive systems, and their pneumatic and hydraulic components
  • Assembling and wiring control devices and automation systems
  • Conducting electrical measurements and testing building systems
  • Programming and adjusting systems, testing their function and safety features
  • Handing over systems to users and providing training on operation
  • Monitoring the work of service providers and other trades, making arrangements for deadlines and tasks
  • Monitoring and maintaining systems, conducting regular inspections
  • Taking immediate action in case of malfunctions and safety requirements
  • Identifying and resolving malfunctions
  • Analyzing the causes of malfunctions as a measure of quality assurance
  • Following or creating technical documents, such as manufacturer specifications, manuals (including English ones), regulations, and documentation

Desired qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of mathematics and physics
  • Interest in technology
  • Attentive, reliable, and careful work
