Details:

Our client is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their growing team. This is a fulltime opportunity with a flexible Schedule in the Latham area

Responsibilities of the Information Security Analyst will include:

Interpret security log data and triage alerts, escalating when necessary.
Generate and track security-related reports and metrics.
Administer Microsoft Sentinel SIEM and Defender environments.
Conduct vulnerability scans and develop remediation plans.
Maintain knowledge of security frameworks like NIST and ISO
Assist with audits and development of internal policies.
Administer cybersecurity training platform (KnowBe4).
Ensure functionality of physical security devices.
Administer Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) management system.
Implement new security technologies under supervision.
Automate tasks using PowerShell and Python.
Assist with annual penetration testing.
Support other IT teams as required.

Job Requirements

Details:

Qualifications of the Information Security Analyst:

2-5 years of experience in an infosec analyst or similar position.
Demonstrated ongoing professional development.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferably experienced with PowerShell.
Capable of meeting physical demands of the role.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information security, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Possession of security certifications (Security+, SSCP, CCSP, or similar).
Proven experience automating repetitive tasks through scripting.

Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $80,000 - $100,000.
