Job Title:
Desktop Support Specialist

Job Duration: 6 Months

Rensselaer, NY / Tempoline, NY

Client :

  • Applies professionallevel technical skill and judgment to provide nonroutine technical support for computer/data center operations.
  • Installs, configures and troubleshoots server and nondesktop computer hardware, software, systems and other resources in a data center or other centralized computer network setting.
  • Maintains access control, data integrity and file system security for the computer/data center environment.
  • Monitors, tracks and records system performance and utilization metrics.
  • Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
  • Recommends process, hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades, to improve computer/data center efficiency.
  • May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
  • May be internal or external, clientfocused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.
  • May include companywide, webenabled solutions.

Pay:
$ $33.00 per hour

Education:


  • Associate (preferred)

Experience:

- pharmaceutical industry: 3 years (preferred)
- operating system, desktop hardware and peripherals: 3 years (preferred)

  • Manage Onboarding, retirement, and relocation of equipment: 3 years (preferred)
  • Implements Windows based security: 3 years (preferred)
- folder permissions, group policies, local security policies: 3 years (preferred)
- physical inventory of lab equipment: 3 years (preferred)

  • IT
Computing Analyst: 3 years (preferred)
- research laboratory environment: 3 years (preferred)
- inventory of lab equipment: 3 years (preferred)

  • Laboratory, BÍO, Healthcare: 3 years (preferred)
