LVI Associates are in partnership with a full-service architectural, engineering, building enclosure, and forensic consulting firm who have recently secured some interesting 3-4-year projects in North & South Carolina.

The main focus of this role will involve repair design, identifying root causes, and restoring multi-family residential and large commercial buildings. They are specifically seeking architects and licensed engineers who are enthusiastic about working on existing structures.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients and fellow engineers to evaluate, analyze, and design repairs for various existing building structures.
Conduct condition assessments and investigations on current structures, performing structural analysis of distress or deterioration.
Projects include parking garages, sidewalk vaults, plazas, historic buildings, and other existing structures.
Work with materials such as concrete (conventional/post-tensioned), steel, masonry, heavy timber, and glass.
Coordinate material testing, both destructive and non-destructive, with a designated testing firm.
Develop and prioritize repair solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Must be a Registered Architect or Professional Engineer.
Experience in root cause analysis, repair design, or building restoration.
Hold a degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering from an accredited University.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
