    Description

    NYC hedge fund looking to hire dedicated EA/PA for its founder (the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of the firm). They are looking for someone who has worked in a small fund/investment management executive support role, and is intelligent, enthusiastic and has a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, polished and has high emotional intelligence to be able to collaborate with different colleagues across different functional areas across the company. The person in the role will be responsible for assisting the founder in managing his professional and personal time, helping find efficiencies to make each day run as seamlessly as possible. This is an incredible opportunity to work alongside a successful executive and team in a fast-paced and collegial environment.

    Primary responsibilities

    Maintain calendars, contacts and tasks

    Schedule and coordinate meetings

    Answer phone calls, emails and correspondence for executive

    Coordinate domestic and international travel (personal and professional)

    Assist with research and projects

    Liaise with internal and external contacts on behalf of executive

    Pro-actively anticipate work assignments whenever possible

    Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and confidential issues

    Liaise with executive's family on schedule and travel, and attend to personal requests when needed

    Required qualifications (education, certifications, experience, knowledge/skills):

    Bachelor's degree

    - Minimum of 5 years in a small fund/investment management executive support role

    Strong work ethic

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Proactive and thoughtful approach

    Highly presentable both by phone and in person

    Collaborative / teamwork attitude

    Intelligent and quick-witted with the ability to manage team and other internal/external investment professionals quickly and efficiently

    "No task is too big or too small" mentality

    Motivated to dig in and grow with the firm for years to come

    Available by phone to work off hours (such as managing travel changes, responses to other time zones when needed)

    Strong technical and research skills (Microsoft office and other tools)

    Ability to work independently with strong follow-through skills

    Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

    Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities

    Resourcefulness in executing projects
