    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Purchasing Agent is accountable for the adherence to the processes and procedures of the Procurement department to ensure successful completion to Easy Ice standard operating procedures. The Purchasing Agent will be an operational liaison with Easy Ice nationwide branch operations, Accounting, Technical Service, IT, and Logistics. This candidate must be energetic and enthusiastic and be able to forge necessary relationships among internal and external stakeholders.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

    • Determines and implements most efficient and cost-effective method of fulfilling organizational material requirements.
    • Evaluates and determines optimal inventory levels.
    • Create and places purchase orders based on requirements from multiple sources.
    • Obtains and verifies purchase order confirmation from suppliers.
    • Follows up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery, including expediting orders to meet internal and external customer demand.
    • Develops and maintains an excellent rapport with supplier contacts
    • Build solid working relationships with all internal departments and regional Service Partners.
    • Detailed communication with suppliers and multiple internal departments.
    • Assist in conducting physical inventory counts, including system processes and physical counts.
    • Maintains information accessibility via document storage as required.
    • Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
    • Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
    • Collaborates with Procurement Manager to ensure parts flow efficiently throughout all branches.
    • Uphold a high level of customer service and expectation with all internal and external customer interaction.
    • Obtain situational awareness through excellent questions within each customer interaction.
    • Ensure all actions are performed ethically and are in the best interests of the company.
    • Operate, maintain, and deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Follows all documented Procurement policies, processes, and procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
    • Maintain positive office atmosphere/environment.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Associates/Bachelor's Degree or 1-3 years of related experience

    Experience:

    • Demonstrated track record of delivering highest level of customer satisfaction.
    • Demonstrated track record of working effectively with employees in various departments of the company.
    • 1-3 years of experience in purchasing role.
    • Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Enterprise Resource Planning systems; with exceptional knowledge of Excel.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
    • Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
    • Sits for extended periods of time.
    • Must have sufficient visual acuity to be able to work, for prolonged periods of time, on a computer monitor.
