    Description

    Must possess extensive experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction and meet or exceed productivity goals. Demonstrating the ability to install conduit, wire, and cable systems is a must. Proficiency in installing and terminating panels, switchboards, and other electrical equipment is required. Basic math skills, reliable transportation, and willingness to commute to various job sites daily are essential. Effective communication skills are a must.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • -Adhere to JMS Safety Program
    • -Install electrical work according to JMS standards, project plans, specifications, and code requirements
    • -Coordinate installations with other construction trades
    • -Utilize reason and logic for accurate mathematical operations
    • -Understand construction drawings and details completely
    • -Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment for assigned tasks
    • -Accurately install conduit, wire, prefab assemblies, panelboards, light fixtures, devices, and other equipment
    • -Prevent waste by ensuring high-quality installations
    • -Follow construction drawings to install concealed wiring before finishing touches are applied
    • -Measure, cut, bend, thread, ream, and install conduit
    • -Pull and terminate branch and feeder conductors
    • -Terminate wiring to various electrical equipment
    • -Utilize test equipment to ensure safety and compatibility of circuit wiring
    • -Troubleshoot and repair faulty circuits, equipment, or systems
    • -Complete all necessary documentation

    REQUIRED PHYSICAL/MENTAL FUNCTIONS:

    • -Identify wire colors effectively
    • -Understand construction drawings and schematics
    • -Bend conduit using appropriate tools
    • -Safely use power tools and operate construction equipment
    • -Dig trenches and use hand or power tools
    • -Follow safety procedures outlined in "JMS Safety Handbook"
    • -Maintain good hearing and vision
    • -Lift objects up to 50 pounds and carry objects up to 20 pounds
    • -Tolerate prolonged standing and movement
    • -Climb ladders
    • -Secure tools and materials for assigned tasks

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • -License: Valid state driver's license
    • -Certifications: Federal, state, and local certifications as needed
    • -Education: High School Graduate or GED
    • -Experience: Minimum 5 years of electrical experience
    • -OSHA Construction Outreach Training: 10 & 30 hours

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • -Work in various weather conditions
    • -Have required personal tools at all times
    • -Perform work at heights
    • -Work in restricted or confined areas
    • -Wear all necessary personal protective equipment
    • -Work 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed
