    Description

    The Senior Manager, Financial Systems will lead the Financial Systems Management (FSM) team under the guidance of the VP of IT. This role is vital for optimizing and advancing our financial systems, especially the ERP platform Great Plains.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and enhance the ERP system, Great Plains, to ensure seamless operation aligned with business requirements.
    • Supervise job scheduling and monitoring within financial systems.
    • Execute regular and ad hoc tasks to support monthly and quarterly financial closes.
    • Oversee application access management for streamlined system administration.
    • Address application issues and system outages efficiently to minimize disruptions.
    • Coordinate with 3rd party vendors and uphold strong communication channels.
    • Guide and mentor a team of financial system analysts, fostering growth and teamwork.
    • Collaborate with IT and finance departments to integrate financial systems effectively with business processes.
    • Assess current technologies within the enterprise architecture and propose enhancements for optimal performance.
    • Understand project technicalities to identify risks, offer solutions, and guide system implementations.
    • Document requirements for updates, upgrades, and implementations, collaborating closely with project management for successful outcomes.
    • Ensure monthly maintenance of financial systems for a secure IT environment.
    • Maintain system configurations and logic, including account posting rules and custom validations.
    • Generate reports and conduct data integrity reviews.
    • Handle end-user requests, prioritize tasks, and potentially provide end-user training.
    • Test and implement data integrations and resolve posting discrepancies.
    • Develop financial approval matrices and lead system projects in alignment with the Finance Transformation Team.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field; master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum 8 years' relevant work experience.
    • Proficiency with database administration tools like Azure Data Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Integration Manager, or MySQL Workbench.
    • Experience with DBA functions in a clustered environment desirable.
    • Knowledge of database security protocols and best practices.
    • Experience in data modeling, data mining, and database design principles.
    • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies.
    • Proven track record in managing ERP systems, particularly Great Plains.
    • Expertise in reporting and analytics, including journal entries, expense accounts, and more.
    • Awareness of process improvements, SOX compliance, and internal control standards.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a talent for team management and development.
    • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder relationships.
    • Detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled in problem-solving.
    • Strong background in both Finance and IT.
