    Job Description

    The Client is a growing company that designs and builds customized automated manufacturing equipment such as inline drilling and cut-to-length machines, curing ovens, payoff and winding systems, and automated cleaning lines. We are looking for a mechanical design engineer with a passion for machine design, and organizational skills needed to drive a project from concept to finished machine.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Design and test machinery based on an understanding of the customer's desired manufacturing process and specifications.
    • Create layout drawings for customer approval.
    • Create detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of material.
    • Communicate with customers throughout the design process, and provide support after implementation.
    • Manage project data to ensure designs are properly organized and archived.
    • Utilize standard components when possible and update the CAD parts library
    • Create training materials such as manuals and videos.
    • Support production during the build process.
    • Ensure the machine meets customer requirements through testing and validation.

    • CAD software proficiency (SolidWorks preferred)
