    Description

    LHH is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement role with a manufacturing client in the vicinity of Lafayette, IN. This is your chance to join a top company known for nurturing their engineering team and offering opportunities for advancement. You will work with a range of manufacturing equipment and product lines, lead projects to enhance outcomes, implement Lean strategies, and more. The salary is competitive, ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 per year plus bonuses, along with comprehensive medical insurance plans, ample Paid Time Off, and a 401K.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop efficient manufacturing processes through evaluating product requirements and designing, adjusting, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment for optimal results
    • Utilize industry expertise in product design, assembly, fabrication, tooling, and materials, collaborating with production team members
    • Identify and resolve process issues, investigate equipment malfunctions, draft follow-up reports, and provide guidance to floor workers
    • Perform root cause analysis on quality challenges in the manufacturing process
    • Cooperate with operations and management to establish a collective vision for daily tasks and report on progress
    • Work with maintenance, production, engineering, and external contractors to enhance equipment maintenance, services, repairs, and protocols
    • Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, while optimizing space and equipment layout
    • Propose innovative solutions to address complex challenges during manufacturing
    • Take on additional responsibilities as delegated by the Engineering Manager

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering mandatory
    • At least two years of experience in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience working on the production floor with various manufacturing equipment types
    • Proficiency in reading blueprints and wiring diagrams/schematics
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
    • Highly motivated and self-driven with an ability to excel with minimal supervision
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and team collaboration capabilities
