Practice Highlights: Saint Alphonsus Medical Group ) (SAMG) is a physician led 500 provider multispecialty group that has an excellent opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) who is committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and who is willing to support the growth of an orthopedic practice as part of a dedicated orthopedic program.
Responsibilities include co-management of the orthopedic patient in collaboration with the patient's primary orthopedic surgeon.
This involves direct management of the patient including, but not limited to, the following exams, procedures and services:
multiple joint injections, casting, pre-operative history and physicals, surgical assisting, post-operative follow up, and management of both acute conditions as well as chronic, non-surgical conditions.
The advanced practice provider would be responsible for ordering, interpreting and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic data, prescribing medications, and developing a treatment plan.
The qualified candidate will exude passion about orthopedic health issues and demonstrate evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Support: New APP will join a team of 5 full-time PA's and a sports med provider who support 4 surgeons from general orthopedics, sports medicine, foot & ankle and spine surgery. Surgeries are performed at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa.
