Job DescriptionSalary: $53 an hour

*Contingent on on contract award*

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements, develop solutions, and support ongoing network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.

Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, viruses, and other security threats.

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

Perform network upgrades and migrations as needed to support business requirements.

Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff as needed.

Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the company's network infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.

In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.

Hands-on experience with networking hardware, such as Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba.

Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.

Experience with cloud networking technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) principles and technologies.

Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
