    Description:

    Shift Hours:8a-5:30p/ Full Time

    • This position supports all revenue cycle functions and contributes to the overall financial health of assigned operating units through the use of metric-driven methodologies and a variety of data analytic reporting tools.
    • The Revenue Cycle Analyst (RCA) will work closely with Emory Healthcare Finance Department and Patient Financial Services to identify and understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), track operating unit(s) performance, analyze data to assist in revenue management and decision support, and provide actionable and detailed work plans inclusive of recommendations around revenue cycle process and system improvements.
    • The RCA will be required to present analyses in formal presentations and dashboards to all levels of the organization with defined goals to influence behaviors and foster positive change, work closely with stakeholders from different functional units on topics including: billing, charge capture, coding, edit/denial management, and/or self-pay management, assists in the documentation of department policy and procedures for revenue cycle, prepare detailed reports as needed to assist leaders in cash and A/R reporting and potentially contributing to staffing decisions.
    • The RCA will partner with the Business Solutions Design team to develop requirements and use cases, as well serve as a key contributor during system testing, work with manager to formulate plan for professional development, attend educational in-services as appropriate, may develop and perform comprehensive audits in support of overall organization, financial, and revenue cycle health, may be required to report key statistical data regarding vendor partners, track their performance, and review invoicing to manage and confirm respective vendor performance.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma with seven (7) years of experience in revenue cycle functions; OR any combination of equivalent education and experience; OR successful completion of The Emory Clinics Operations Development Program (ODP).
    • Candidates must be proficient in Excel.
    • Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to perform proactive and ad hoc analyses and provide recommendations for process improvement opportunities to increase revenue &/or reduce expenses within a given department &/or service line.
    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Experience applying automation to analytics tools by leveraging data models (e.g: Access, mySQL, SQL Server) and/or programming (e.g: Visual Basic, Python).
      • Related experience in a Healthcare setting.
