- Responsible for the daily execution of all culinary operations located at 535 5th LLC
- The Prep cook will assist all chefs in preparing food and take on culinary tasks as needed
- Requires physical endurance and mental determination working in a high-volume atmosphere
- Prepare food prep lists and production of food preparation and service
- Ensure proper quality, temperature, and freshness of products at all stations
- Maintain production pars and portion control
- Follow all Company and health quality standards
- Communicate daily with Sous Chefs and CDC regarding product specification
- Track ingredient quantities and supervise food temperature
- Clean and sanitize working surfaces, tools, and equipment
- Eliminate food waste and abide by kitchen SOP guidelines
- Prepare menu, order supplies, and comply with mandatory management trainings
- Follow all company procedures and complete assigned job duties
- Minimum 2 years' experience in restaurant, hotel, and private parties
- Must be motivated, hard-working, and passionate
- Prioritize, organize, and resolve problems with good judgment
- Work cohesively in a team, possess excellent communication skills
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to learn new recipes and procedures rapidly
- San Diego County Food Handlers Card and Serve safe certificate preferred
- Anti-harassment and nondiscrimination 1-hour class required
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours and lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be comfortable working in a stressful, fast-paced environment and on holidays, nights, and weekends
