    Description
    Role: Construction Accounting Associate

    Join our team as a Construction Accounting Associate and be a key player in ensuring the financial well-being of our construction projects. This role, reporting directly to ownership, involves handling daily financial transactions and providing essential support in billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.


    Responsibilities:
    • Manage accounting operations, including billing, AR, and AP.
    • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
    • Conduct monthly closing activities and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Maintain the company's accounting system and files.

    Requirements:
    • Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
    • Demonstrated experience in construction company accounting.
    • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience with GAAP knowledge.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be able to work on-site in the Chicago metropolitan area.
