Summary
Works directly for Facilities Director/Asst. Facilities Director. The Building/Repair Lead will be responsible for all repair activities. Responds to employee complaints and problems. Recommends disciplinary action to the Manager. Participates in job interviews and writes employee evaluations. May assign additional duties to employees that s/he deems necessary. Trains personnel in the performance of their duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Keep a daily shift log of incidents, absences, tardiness, accidents, complaints, etc.
  • Responsible for finding replacements for absent employees.
  • Assign and perform and combination of tasks to maintain establishment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Inventory and order supplies.
  • Counsel employees as necessary.
  • Schedule building maintenance employees as needed.
  • Train new employees.
  • Enforce policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Maintains superior customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Follows all other duties as directed.
  • Ensures confidentiality throughout the Casino.
  • Must understand and comply with departmental internal control regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications

  • Ability to supervise employees and establish work requirements.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and written.
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to supervise and direct employees of all backgrounds and personalities in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Ability to speak read and write English fluently.
  • Knowledge of motor driven equipment.
  • Applicants must be in good physical health, as this position requires a considerable amount of walking and lifting.
  • Knowledge of general repairs.
  • Ability to operate hand held radio.

Education and/or Experience

  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have a High School diploma or G.E.D.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Applicants must be in good physical health, as this position requires a considerable amount of walking and lifting.
