    Job Description

    To support the Director of Engineering Services by providing technical and administrative aid and overseeing the operational facets of the Engineering Department.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in maintaining preventative maintenance, including work logs, scheduling, project assignments, and related duties.
    • Aid in supply procurement and issuance of purchase orders under the Director's guidance.
    • Review and prioritize work orders.
    • Keep current inventories of heat, light & power, and maintenance supplies.
    • Address guest requests promptly.
    • Collaborate with the Engineering team on shifts and coordinate their tasks.
    • Take charge of the Engineering Department in the Director's absence.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency protocols.
    • Familiarity with Omni's job scenarios and Systems and Services procedures.

    Qualifications

    • Significant HVAC and mechanical background required.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Preferably 3-5 years of experience in hotel engineering.
    • Prior experience in a convention service hotel is advantageous.
    • Experience in supervising a team of 5 or more individuals.
