Job Description:

The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role within the Engineering Division, supporting design and fabrication of equipment for construction projects.

Responsibilities include planning, equipment design and manufacture, facility design, and problem-solving for mine hoisting systems and conveyances. This role involves collaboration with peers, consultants, vendors, and clients.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer will:

Design mechanical systems, structures, and components.
Assist in modifying existing equipment and systems.
Provide technical support to various divisions.
Contribute to mechanical plans and technical quotes.
Ensure compliance with safety standards.
Respond to site-based requests for information.
Prepare project documents including calculations, drawings, and reports.
Travel to sites as necessary.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure within 2 years.
Experience with hydraulics, hoists, or pneumatic systems preferred.
Strong problemsolving skills.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Finite Element Analysis software.
Advanced computer skills.
Excellent communication skills.
