- Demonstrate creativity and strategic thinking in problem-solving, developing standards, and defining project objectives.
- Prepare and present project documents, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Design mechanical systems, structures, and components.
- Collaborate with vendors to acquire off-the-shelf components.
- Implement modifications to existing equipment, systems, structures, and components.
- Review designs for fit, function, and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure the final solution meets both customer requirements and divisional standards.
- Test and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
- Travel intermittently, up to 25% as required
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 4 or more years of experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering; machine design experience is advantageous.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with hoists or hydraulic and pneumatic systems is desirable.
- Proficiency in Drawing Development, GD&T, Welding Specifications, Document Control, Structural Steel, and Steel Fabrication.
- Preferred ability to obtain a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license within 2 years.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor/Vault preferred but not required.
