    Job Description

    We are looking to bring on 2 new Furnace Operators for our client based out of Kent, WA. Our client specializes in heat treating various alloys for the aerospace industry and they are growing fast. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up the furnace, heat treating materials according to client needs, and troubleshooting defects as they come up. This is a direct hire opportunity.

    Location: Kent, WA

    Compensation: $18/hr to start

    Schedules available:

    • Monday - Friday, 12 am - 7:30 am
    • Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4 pm

    Responsibilities:

    • Rack parts for treatment and load racks in furnaces, using tongs, chain hoists, or forklifts
    • Read production schedules and work orders to determine processing sequences, furnace temperatures, and heat cycle requirements for objects to be heat-treated
    • Set up, operate, or tend heat treat furnaces and follow written procedures on shop orders
    • Prepares work for processing; load and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, and baskets
    • Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure the machinery is working properly.
    • Detects and reports defective materials to the supervisor
    • Promote safety and good housekeeping practices

    Requirements:

    • Attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of how to use a tape measure is preferred
    • Experience operating a forklift preferred
    • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 50 lbs regularly
    • Ability to pass a full drug screen and background check
