    Description
    ResponsibilitiesThe company is currently recruiting for a full-time IP&T Litigation Case Assistant to be based in our Washington, D.C. office. This position will support the local IP&T Litigation Practitioners and the national IP&T Litigation Practice Group.

    This position will report to the Practice Group Leader, with daily work performed primarily under the direction of assigned practice group lawyers and/or paraprofessionals.


    Expected responsibilities will include:


    Locate pertinent court rules and comprehension of sameBasic proficiency in cite checking briefs and general Bluebook knowledgeProficiency in electronic filing of pleadings in Federal Courts and State CourtsDemonstrated ability to perform searches in standard litigation related applications such as RelativityPreparation of deposition summariesReview, organize, and summarize documents including coding and/or Bates stampingReview and summarize facts from case related documents and create chronologies of sameTravel to courts, libraries, offices, hospitals, and other places to obtain and review documents, records, and/or case files and travel on all case mattersAssist with drafting pleadings, discovery requests, responses to discovery requests, and subpoenasDraft general correspondencePerform factual research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, the Internet, and other available resources.
