BakeMark is looking for the next superstar to join their team as a Production Supervisor!

With a rich history spanning over a century in providing top-notch bakery ingredients, products, supplies, and services, BakeMark stands out as a key player in the industry. Operating through 27 branches across the U.S., this manufacturer and distributor is on the lookout for a dedicated individual to take on the role of Production Supervisor.

Summary: As a Production Supervisor, you will be tasked with leading and coordinating activities within the production departments to ensure efficient processing of materials and manufacturing of products. This role involves guiding a team of supervisors and ensuring all tasks are completed effectively and within specified timelines.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities:

Implement policies and procedures set by the Plant Manager to maintain safety standards, operating methods, and behavior within the facility.
Create work schedules in alignment with the Production Manager to streamline workflow and meet production targets.
Estimate work requirements, allocate resources, and oversee timely completion of tasks.
Ensure plant cleanliness is upheld at all times to meet hygiene standards.
Conduct product inspections to guarantee compliance with quality specifications.
Oversee machine setup and adjustments to optimize production processes.
Develop operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to achieve desired product quality.
Review production reports, address operational issues, and troubleshoot maintenance problems to minimize costs and avoid delays.
Handle worker grievances and escalate unresolved issues to the Production Manager for resolution.
Occasionally handle heavy lifting activities when necessary.
Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience as a Supervisor in Manufacturing, especially in Union environments if relevant.
Proven leadership skills in team management and development.
Proficient in interpreting business documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
Adept at report writing, business correspondence, and manual creation.
Strong mathematical abilities including calculations and data analysis.
Capable of understanding and generating graphs, instructions, and schedules.
Ideally possess a college degree or equivalent educational background.
