Description

Primary Objectives

Ensure the manufacturing process remains smooth and efficient by organizing workflows and monitoring staff.

Essential Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed).

Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives.
Ability to drive continuous improvement within all aspects of the manufacturing process.
Oversee the leadership of production team, follow production schedule.
Champion product quality, workmanship, methods, and processes to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Maintain compliance with standards, company policies, safety rules, and housekeeping standards.
Inspire and encourage others through direct communications throughout all levels of the organization.
Coordinate, set up, and implement standard operating procedure for all production operations.
Make sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals.
Working out the human and material resources needed.
Estimate costs and setting the quality standards.
Ensure implementation of safety procedures.
Optimize resource utilization by implementation of an effective production organization.
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
Reviewing the performance of subordinates.

Requirements:

Technical background in Production, Tool and Die, Maintenance, or similar field.
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Extensive knowledge of LEAN standards and requirements.
Must have 5 or more years of experience and/or training in supervision or management.
Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to do advanced addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and measurement using whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to speak effectively before groups employees and provide clear, brief, and accurate guidance and instruction.
Ability to communicate professionally, respectfully, effectively, in manner that promotes growth and goal-oriented achievement.
Must be able to work with difficult employee personalities.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
