Overview:
The Sales Director is responsible for leading the sales and marketing team in superior service and growth for our customers, while remaining true to valuing our team members and supporting our communities.
As a Multi-State Sales Director in consumer product goods (CPG), you will lead a dynamic team of sales and marketing professionals to accelerate revenue growth and market expansion across multiple states. You will be responsible for working across multiple business units to develop and execute strategic plans, delivering on KPI's, enhancing brand visibility, optimizing market penetration, and fostering strong relationships with retail and manufacturing partners. Your leadership will require critical thinking, solution driven problem solving that creates organizational diversification, portfolio diversification, and profitable growth. The Sales Director will report to the Chief of Sales and Operations for HUB Inc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Internal and External Focus
· Develop and implement HUB's Strategic Growth plan with specific KPI's developed for each sales team member, state, and trade channel to drive growth and profit. Solution Oriented and Driven
· Lead and motivate a diverse team of sales and marketing professionals, providing guidance, coaching and support to drive performance.
· Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
· Accountable for implementing and growing organization with B2B and B2C strategies via portfolio diversification strategies and tactics (Internet Sales, Shipping, and Emerging Alternative Tobacco Items).
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and marketing to ensure alignment and efficiency of our multi-state (3 Warehouse) distribution operations.
· Build/Maintain strong relationships with key account customers and manufacturers when meeting to strategize promotions and profit scenarios internal and external to organization.
· Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote brand awareness and foster relationships.
· Drive continuous improvement in sales and marketing processes, tools, and methodologies in collaboration with ERP analyst to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Accountability Measures
· Achieves agreed upon KPI's and execution of strategic goals.
· Goals include sales volume, profits, budget management, and growing portfolio of brands with diverse product mix.
· Lead professional growth of a diverse sales and marketing team that collaborates with all business units.
· Presenting business results and requesting resource needs to Senior leadership.
· Always developing and communicating new ideas or solutions to improve (Efficiencies and Effectiveness)
