GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONTo provide and coordinate preventative maintenance and repair for the vehicles owned and in use by the Washington County Regional Ambulance Authority-Central EMS to ensure safe, reliable transportation for response to emergency and non-emergency calls by the EMTs and Paramedics.
Repair medical equipment and stretchers. This duty is performed monthly, about 5% of the time.
Fabricate and install components. This duty is performed irregularly, about 5% of the time.
Diagnose and repair the ambulance module. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
Cosmetic and body repair. This duty is performed irregularly, about 10% of the time.
Mechanical diagnosis and repair. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
Preventative maintenance. This duty is performed daily, about 50% of the time.
Assist with vehicle specifications. This duty is performed irregularly, about 5% of the time.
Maintain generator. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentionedsatisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilityrequired.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. dataprocessing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 4 years related experience and/ortraining. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
