- Receive and review claims submitted by customers regarding damaged, lost, or missing household goods during the moving process.
- Collaborate with insurance provider to understand determinations on claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations into the circumstances surrounding each claim, including reviewing documentation, assessing liability, and gathering relevant information from customers, movers, and third-party vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of all claim-related communications, documentation, and resolutions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers, moving companies, and other stakeholders to provide updates on claim status, request additional information or documentation as needed, and facilitate timely resolutions.
- Negotiate settlements with customers, moving companies, and insurance providers to reach fair and equitable resolutions for all parties involved.
- Partner with internal stakeholders on claim resolution, trends and claim escalations to client and customer satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and escalations related to claims in a professional and empathetic manner, striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on claim trends, resolution outcomes, and customer satisfaction metrics to management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing proactive measures to mitigate future claims.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and contractual agreements throughout the claims process, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Perform requests as directed by manager to support team.

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Previous experience with claims management, customer service, or related field.
- 3+ years related industry experience including move management services and household goods claims preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing the moving and transportation of household goods is a plus.
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex situations, identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
