    Sales Engineer - East

    Position Overview:

    Lambert Nemec Group, a leading recruitment firm in Manitoba, has been tasked by a dynamic Winnipeg-based company to recruit a Sales Engineer based in the Eastern United States region.

    Our client is seeking individuals who are self-starters, dynamic team players, and enjoy customer interaction as their profession. They should possess technical expertise in Power Systems, particularly in Power System Protection Relays and Recording products.

    This role offers the flexibility of working from a home office based on location, with potential for up to 50% travel between the USA and Canada.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify specific markets and clientele to advocate for our protection and fault recording products and solutions.
    • Responsible for expanding and nurturing the customer base within a specific market segment to achieve budgetary targets.
    • Perform a thorough analysis of competitors and identify fresh business prospects within the designated market segment.
    • Create and implement sales strategies and tactical plans tailored to the specific market segment.
    • Collaborate with channel partners to formulate and deploy sales strategies effectively.
    • Acquire and sustain an advanced level of understanding of the company's products and solutions related to electric power system protection and automation.
    • Possess a solid understanding of competitor products, as this knowledge can establish the baseline expectations for potential new customers.
    • Assist customers and generate awareness and interest in the company's products through in-person visits, product demonstrations, training sessions, and telephone communication.
    • Collaborate with the Technical Services Group to offer support and address customer issues by providing application notes, white papers, answering inquiries, conducting Webex demonstrations, and more.
    • Aid in the preparation and delivery of compelling proposals for the company's products, services, and systems.
    • Take part in trade shows and promotional events.
    • Accomplish assigned tasks within the agreed-upon timeframe and budget while maintaining a high standard of quality.
    • Take on project management responsibility for designated projects.
    • Perform additional tasks as delegated.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
    Experience:
    • 10+ years of practical experience and expertise in electric power systems, along with a thorough understanding of industry practices and principles.
    • 5+ years of experience in roles focused on Business Development, Application, or Customer Service, specifically in customer-facing positions.
    • Experience dealing with either utility customers involved in Transmission, Distribution, and Generation, or with significant industrial clients such as those in the oil, refinery, cement, iron, and steel sectors, or in renewable energy.
    • Having prior work experience in consulting or engineering firms would be advantageous.
    Requirements:
    • Exceptional technical aptitude, proficiency in verbal communication, and strong writing abilities.
    • Highly skilled in using computers and proficient in a wide range of business software applications.
    • Outstanding organizational abilities and a strong aptitude for completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
    • Effective multitasking and time management skills are crucial.
    • Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screening.
